Continuous development in industrial as well as expansion in service sector has opened up more job opportunities not only for the locals but also for foreigners. In recent years, statistics showed that locals from smaller towns migrate and move to leading cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh to seek jobs as there are more opportunities in the cities.
Besides Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Hai Duong and Ba Ria Vung Tau are also developing with more foreign investment and projects within the vicinity. Hence, locals are needed to fill up vacancies in industrial sector.
One should take note that only a few industries are growing – construction, tourism and information technology. This is largely due to the fact that foreigners can now set up enterprises in the country easily. Therefore, they need skillful Vietnamese to help them expand the companies while establishing contacts with local officials.
Tourism industry is also emerging in recent years. More job opportunities have opened up to fill up the empty spots. Companies now recruit knowledgeable tour guides. In addition to tourism industry, real estate market is also booming.
As a result, more construction workers are needed. Meanwhile, information technology industry in the country is also growing. All in all, the country now needs more workers as they are experiencing rapid growth. Vietnam is the third fastest growing city in South East Asia.
The industries highlighted above are those growing rapidly. There are also other industries such as manufacturing, mining and power sectors that are recruiting more skillful employers. Since Vietnam is trying to develop better resources to offer clean water and generate power to the people, locals can also seek jobs in this industry.
Nearly all the industries are recruiting skillful employers in the last few years. Statistics showed that the greatest demand fell into sales, technology, accounting, marketing and engineering.
